As a cello teacher, my role involves much more than teaching notes and technique. I tailor each lesson to suit the student’s age, level, and learning style—whether they are beginners developing basic posture and bow control, or advanced players working on interpretation and performance skills. I focus on building a strong technical foundation while nurturing musical expression and confidence. This includes teaching music theory, sight-reading, and ear training when appropriate. I also help students prepare for graded exams, competitions, school performances, or simply to enjoy playing music as a personal passion. Outside of lessons, I spend time planning individualized materials, selecting suitable repertoire, and offering practice strategies. I aim to create a supportive, structured, and enjoyable learning environment that encourages each student to grow both musically and personall

Leo M.

For about 6 years now I have been the bassist in an internationally successful alternative rock band named Some Remain. Over this course of time, I have become familiar with the entirety of the instrument's fretboard and different intervals/scales/arpeggios.

The band composes their own material and so I have experience with playing/writing different kinds of basslines. I know how to use passing tones and create counterpoint with other instrumental lines. I also know when it may be appropriate to step back, lock in with the drummer and only provide basic harmonic accompaniment. There are times in music when less is more.

Playing live with a band has also made me familiar with music technology (i.e. amps, cables, microphones, pedals, etc.)
