Muirgen O’Mahony is an Irish singer, performer, and vocal coach with over 10 years of teaching experience. She holds a First Class Honours BA in Music from the Cork School of Music and a Distinction Master’s Degree in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music, London. After spending eight years living and working in London as both a performer and teacher within the musical theatre industry, Muirgen returned home to Cork in 2024, where she now continues her work as a performer, recording artist, and vocal educator, both privately and at third level institutions such as the Cork School of Music. Muirgen is currently a lead vocalist with the Grammy-nominated and six-time Billboard topping group Celtic Woman, with whom she has toured internationally and recorded multiple albums over the past five years. Alongside this, she has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras including the National Symphony Orchestra (US), Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. Alongside her performance career, Muirgen is deeply passionate about teaching and vocal development. She recently completed her Vocal Balance Accreditation, an experience she describes as transformative both for her own singing and her teaching approach. Her teaching focuses on simplifying and decluttering vocal technique, helping singers find freedom and confidence in their voice while developing strong storytelling and artistic intention. As an artist, Muirgen has also been exploring her own original music, writing and recording her debut EP, Loinnir, released in May 2026 to critical acclaim and featured on the RTÉ Radio 1 Recommends playlist.
