Hi there! I’m a professional drummer based in Cork City who’s been involved in the Irish music sector since 2015. In 2018 I completed the ‘Foundation Diploma In Professional Musicianship’ at BIMM Dublin and a ‘BA (Hons) in Commercial Modern Music’ at BIMM Dublin in 2023. Since 2015, I’ve been teaching, recording and touring throughout Europe. My lessons are designed for people who are brand new to the drums and want to learn the basics to be able to play along to their favourite songs but in a relaxed and individually focused environment. I offer online and in person one on one lessons from my studio in Cork city. I can also do lessons from students homes. My studio is fully equipped with two acoustic drum kits and a PA speaker. Every lesson is catered to each student's ability. Each week, I aim to break the lesson down into digestible bites, not moving on until the student feels they're comfortable in whatever area is being worked on. The one to one lessons allow me to focus on one student at a time. This is ideal to be able to cater to each student's unique ability and needs. It allows each student the time and space to ask questions and progress in their own time. Subjects covered include Technique, Styles, Musicianship, Professionalism and basic Theory. Naoise encourages his students to pick their favourite songs to learn. Through learning the drum parts to these songs, these subjects are covered with relevance to the students favourite music. Students have said that this makes learning the drums more fun and gives context to the subjects taught. I teach people of all ages. Whether you're a complete beginner and have never played an instrument before or you've been playing drums for a while but want to increase your skill set and technical ability, don’t hesitate to get in touch!!
