MusiProf is here to help you! We are going to find you the best ukulele teacher.

The reasons why you should learn to play ukulele

With your ukulele, playing every type of music is possible, it is one of the easiest instruments to play and here is why:

  • The cords hurt you less than guitar cords.
  • It is easier to play the chords as the instrument is smaller.
  • It is easy to handle, so it is easier for kids or teenagers to play it.
  • Ukulele is less expensive than other instruments.
  • You will have a lot of fun playing and people will love listening to you!

Choose the type of ukulele that makes the sounds that you want

There are many types of ukulele, there are different sizes and they don't all produce the same sound. You can choose the smallest that make high-pitched sounds or the biggest that has a deeper sound...choose between those:

  • Soprano
  • Concert
  • Tenor
  • Baritone
  • Pocket

Experienced Ukulele Tutor based in Arklow - Co.Wicklow

Dan B.

Speaks: English

I have lots of experience with the ukulele, I used to run the UK arm of a ukulele company selling bespoke ukuleles made of cocobolo. I also was once upon a time sponsored by Kremona for their under saddle pickups. I have taught privately to children back in Plymouth UK around 8-10 years ago along with classes in schools alongside another tutor. I then went on to manage music studios across London and North America, I now find myself in Ireland looking for new things to do that will help the younger generation. I now live in Arklow Co. Wicklow with routes to Dublin and the local area. My first student transitioned from ukulele to piano and as an adult have now recently started university at the Royal Welsh Conservatoire so I understand the importance of the ukulele being a great transitional instrument as well as a great instrument in it's own right. I have experience with advanced techniques and can learn finger-style pieces for my students if required. Here's a link to a piece I composed a while ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hiR_1pQGGM&list=RD6hiR_1pQGGM&start_radio=1 I look forward to hearing back from anyone interested in lessons either online or face to face.

Trinity College Music Student offers Ukulele Lessons

Rosie P.

I’m an advanced ukulele player and absolutely love teaching it. The ukulele is such a versatile instrument and a wonderful introduction to music, it’s approachable, fun, and a great foundation for developing musicality. Sharing that with others and helping them discover the joy of playing is something I’m really passionate about.
