I've been playing guitar for over 20 years. My experience in the music industry ranges from performing with cover bands, recording original material, and I also ran an open-mic night for a while. I started teaching guitar about 15 years ago, and I've been teaching online the past couple of years, with great success. My philosophy is all about teaching you the songs you want to learn, and helping you to improve your playing and master new techniques through songs. I think learning how to play through the music you like is essential. Furthermore, I like to break up the classes by teaching different techniques, for example, strumming and finger-picking. Finally, I'm a calm and patient teacher, and I always strive to make my students feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. I hope to see you in the virtual classroom soon!

I teach online lessons from my home studio where I use zoom as my main platform. I have all of the instruments I need in my studio and I use several cameras to zone in on certain things such as overhead keyboard/piano, foot pedals, fingerings on a fret board for guitar/ukulele and a side view for drum set lessons which can be flipped for left hand percussionists. I also use videos to project on the screen as well as document cams for books and pre fab note reading arrangements suited for the learner.

BA Music graduate offers on-site and online guitar lessons
Leo M.
I already have some experience of teaching complete beginners. I have become familiar with how to explain things to beginners and how to see things from a student's perspective.
I have completed all grades including Grade 8 in Classical Guitar, which means I can play advanced repertoire, am familiar with the essential scales/arpeggios/intervals, can read both guitar sheet music and tablature fluently and am familiar with all notes across the fretboard.
I started off playing folk/rock guitar over a decade ago and after years of learning and performing different songs I am fluent with different kinds of chords (open, barre, power, etc.) and strumming/picking patterns.
